They're back again: MERCEDES shoes. From mid-October, the elegant gents' and business shoes will be marketed nationally and internationally in the specialist retail trade, at RENO and in department stores. Scholz & Friends developed an image advertisement for the relaunch of the traditional shoe label that is running from October in the relevant target-group print media and on billboards. More ads are planned for 2007.
In addition, Scholz & Friends Hamburg has designed advertisements for the partnership with Werder Bremen. From the current Bundesliga season, MERCEDES shoes are official suppliers of the league players. The motifs show the players from Werder Bremen in typical football poses dressed in business outfits and MERCEDES shoes: Diego 'flipping' the ball up, Naldo with a flying shot and Owomoyela, Fritz, Schulz and Diego forming a 'wall'.
The traditional German shoe label MERCEDES was purchased by the HR Group, a successor of the shoe trading companies Hamm and RENO. The exquisitely finished shoes for gents have been manufactured and marketed under the name MERCEDES since 1909. Apart from print advertising, POS activities and various PR measures, the MERCEDES brand launch will be flanked by its own Internet site.
