Carsten Fillinger (38) is the new director of Scholz & Friends Berlin's Interactive unit. From now on, the creative professional and recipient of numerous awards will be responsible for the digital creative work for clients such as BIG direkt, the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts, Mercedes-Benz and Vodafone. In addition to this, he will be tasked with expanding the online expertise of the creative agency on a personnel and content level.
“In Carsten Fillinger, we have an internationally successful creative professional who is able to embed digital creative work in orchestrated concepts,” says Stefanie Wurst, Partner and Managing Director at Scholz & Friends Berlin. “His online know-how is an important element in preparing the Orchestra of Ideas for the future.”
To quote Carsten Fillinger: “I am looking forward to my new assignment at Scholz & Friends and the opportunity to combine the high degree of craftsmanship in classic creative work with the innovative energy of digital media.”
Carsten Fillinger, who trained as a stage actor, began his career in advertising in 1996 as a freelance concept developer and worked at Scholz & Volkmer, McCann Erickson and Scholz & Friends, and others. From 2008 to 2010, he was an Associate Creative Director at Neue Digitale in Berlin, where, among other things, he was responsible for the digital creative work for clients such as Audi and McDonald’s. His work has won national and international awards, among others at competitions like Cannes, Epica, Cresta, One Show and Golden Drum. Fillinger is an instructor at Hamburg’s Texterschmiede.
