Slobbering at the corners of the mouth and distorted facial features?
Scholz & Friends Berlin show that speed doesn't always make you more attractive in a high-impact image campaign for the Berlin inline couriers. The faces photographed at 200 km/h dramatise the speed of couriers and, in advertisements until the end of the year, are inviting people to push the pedals themselves as couriers.
The grimaces distorted by the airstream were not produced digitally but are genuine faces exposed to the oncoming wind. They were taken by photographer Hans Starck on the back seat of a convertible at a good 200 km/h. The motifs were honoured with the first prize at the Corbis Photography Award.
The campaign for the fast, but not vain, couriers can be seen until the end of 2007 in selected Berlin city magazines and dailies.
The inline courier service functions according to the participation model 'by couriers for couriers'. The processes from accepting an order through to delivering it are handled by the approx. 500 entrepreneurs involved. At the locations Berlin, Halle, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Potsdam, inline offers a closed service chain in the fields of couriers, overnight couriers and logistics.
