Marc Schwieger has been International Creative Director and Managing Director of Scholz & Friends NeuMarkt since January 2005. In this capacity he is responsible for Tchibo Non Food communications (nationally and internationally). In his position he works together with Sven Jarck, Managing Director of Scholz & Friends NeuMarkt, to drive forward the internationalization of Scholz & Friends NeuMarkt. Marc Schwieger is Partner of the Scholz & Friends Group – in this capacity he has full creative responsibility for Tchibo communications within the network. Marc Schwieger was Head of Creation at Scholz & Friends Hamburg since 1998.
He was responsible for advertising the clients Tchibo, Gala by Eduscho, Cabinet, Davidoff, AWD, Financial Times Deutschland and the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg (German Theatre of Hamburg). Since March 2001 he has been the executive spokesman at Scholz & Friends Hamburg. He also teaches at the “Texterschmiede”, a Hamburg-based academy for copywriters.
Schwieger was born in 1962 in Bad Segeberg, a town in the northern German county of Schleswig-Holstein. As a student of Literature, History, Philosophy and Linguistics at Hamburg University, and after completing his
M.A. in 1990, he worked as a copywriter at M-S-B+K for clients like IBM, Greenpeace, Der SPIEGEL and Mars/EFFEM. At the same time, he was also engaged as a freelance writer and journalist for SPIEGEL TV, Radio Hamburg and a range of TV productions. In January 1994 Marc Schwieger joined Scholz & Friends Hamburg as a copywriter. He was appointed Creative Director in October of the same year.
